Transitional Framing

The profile shape of this frame is somewhat traditional, but the finish is contemporary. The combination of the two styles creates a new look called transitional. Transitional framing can bridge the gap between rooms and art of different styles.

Select a frame that works best with the piece

Frames do NOT have to match your room to look good in it.

A gold frame would have matched this room, but would have overpowered the subtle art. This silver frame is perfect for the art and looks great in the room, too.
Three very different posters make a cohesive statement on the wall when all framed identically.

When selecting art and framing, your number one goal should be to find something you love. Do not settle for art simply because it matches your color scheme.

It the colors do coordinate, that's OK, but it really should match too well because you want it to stand out so it becomes a special accent in the room.
Art repair/conservation/restoration:

Multifarious procedures may be executed within a typical conservation treatment. Usually a number of procedures must be combined within a particular treatment.

In all cases an actual examination of the painting will determine the most suitable course of action. Usually several different options can be given to satisfy the owner’s expectations and budget.
