Dramatically bottom-weighted mats transformed these square images into pieces with long, lean lines – just great for the space above this console.

Special moments demand a special frame

Let the most important events in your live live forever, to be enjoyed daily, with great custom framing!

When selecting art and framing, your number one goal should be to find something you love. Do not settle for art simply because it matches your color scheme.

It the colors do coordinate, that's OK, but it really should match too well because you want it to stand out so it becomes a special accent in the room.

Art repair/conservation/restoration:

Multifarious procedures may be executed within a typical conservation treatment. Usually a number of procedures must be combined within a particular treatment.

In all cases an actual examination of the painting will determine the most suitable course of action. Usually several different options can be given to satisfy the owner’s expectations and budget.

Impact of Custom Framing

Personalizing your home or work space with custom framing is a great way to express your personality and to enjoy your surroundings. While others can go to the store and buy the same sofa, tables and lamps that you have, it is highly unlikely anyone will ever have the exact same custom framing as you.

Regardless of what you choose to have framed for your home, whether it is a favorite piece of art, a mirror, an object inherited from an ancestor or anything else, it will add interest to your space. Take a look at these rooms to see for yourself what a big impact custom framing makes.

Could be the most important thing you hang on your walls...

Framed objects often become some of the most cherished of family possessions.

There is usually a story behind the object that is fun to share with others who see it. Proper framing isn't just to present the item being framed, it can also help protect it.

Let us frame a screen for you!

There is obviously a large painting on the wall in this room, but what you may not notice is the folding screen in the corner.

These screens can be made from numerous colors, styles and widths of frame moulding.

The panels can be mirror, fabric, family photos in multiple opening mats, or even cork for a bulletin board.

The screen can be a full height room divider or a smaller scale to fit on a sofa table.

Preparing for your frame shop visit

Preparing for your frame shop visit

When you visit us here in the frame shop to have something custom framed, we will generally ask you questions about the room where the piece will hang. You can reduce your time at the shop (though we love to help- take YOUR time) by figuring a few things out before you leave home.

We will typically ask the colors and style of the room. You can take things a step further by bringing a few photos, even on your phone, showing different views of the room where the new framing will hang. This will give us a clearer picture of your personal style so together we can help you choose the best frame design for your specific circumstances. Finally, it is helpful to provide the approximate size of your room, especially the wall where the framed piece will hang. We'll then know the ceiling height, if it isn't standard.

With matted pieces, they may be able to adjust proportions a bit to help the completed pieces relate to the room better.
